Dream

“In a dream you are never eighty.”
Anne Sexton 1928-1974

Not yet anyway. Ah, the possibilities of youth!

I like the way the color of the bike frame and basket in this shot contrasts with the almost black and white looking tire, ground and background. It is an unaltered photograph.

Fine Bird Art

"It is not only fine feathers that make fine birds."
Aesop 620 BC - 560 BC

This mural size bird cannot fly away. He's stuck on stucco.

Dale Chihuly 1941-

More Than a Grain

“It isn't the mountain ahead that wears you out; it's the grain of sand in your shoe.”
Rodan of Alexandria

Sometimes it’s better to go barefoot. This is Great Sand Dunes National Park in Colorado.

William Shakespeare 1564-1616

"I am neither especially clever nor especially gifted. I am only very, very curious."
Albert Einstein 1875-1955

As Far As I 'm Concerned

“You all look like happy campers to me. Happy campers you are, happy campers you have been, and, as far as I am concerned, happy campers you will always be.”
Dan Quayle 1947-

Forever and ever and ever.

Spreading Light

“There are two ways of spreading light; to be the candle or the mirror that reflects it.”
Edith Wharton 1862-1937

I like the morning light that is surrounding the Sydney Opera House in this shot. The main light is coming from the sun off to the left and the fill light is being reflected from tall office buildings off to the right. The dots on the water are the sun rays bouncing off the lower windows of the opera house.

Color and Shapes

I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn't say any other way - things I had no words for.
Georgia O'Keeffe 1887-1986

But I do have words- old... truck… sideways.

No, No, No...No, No, No

"If I'd observed all the rules, I'd never have got anywhere."
Marilyn Monroe 1926-1962

Not by car, motorcycle or horse anyway. And remember...leave your tepee at home.

July Fourth

“So, two cheers for democracy: one because it admits variety
and two because it permits criticism”
