“so I wait for you like a lonely house
till you will see me again and live in me.
Till then my windows ache.”
Pablo Neruda, 100 Love Sonnets
This old home, on Highway 1 in Olema Valley, is on land now owned by the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. The house is still standing because a rare colony of Thompson’s Big Eared Bats is living in the attic. Pretty romantic, huh?

love it,Neruda's poem, your photo and the house, hope the bats may live long and happy there, x
