Don't Walk

"We all need time to sit and rest, a place to relax and take a breath."
Michael Albrechtsen

This was my first paying job as a photographer many moons ago. I was taking pictures of a parade for a local community organization when I saw this guy taking advantage of a temporary truck stop.

Not Just a Pretty Picture

"Let us first say what photography is not. A photograph is not a painting, a poem, a symphony, a dance. It is not just a pretty picture, not an exercise in contortionist techniques and sheer print quality. It is or should be a significant document, a penetrating statement, which can be described in a very simple term - selectivity."
Berenice Abbott 1898–1991

But on the other hand there’s always someone trying to get a leg up.

Street Music/Photography

“Film is one of the three universal languages, the other two: mathematics and music”
Frank Capra 1897- 1991

Of course digital is replacing film and he’s leaving out fashion and laughter but you get the idea. The photographer behind the street musician is Trey Ratcliff testing out his new Google Glass.
