This old fashioned sunset occurred this week over San Francisco Bay. The city is to the left of the sun and the Golden Gate Bridge is just to the right.

Absolutely beautiful -- I don't see that view very often. I've heard that type of a sky called a mackerel sky, after the skin of the fish -- William Blake is supposed to have mentioned a mackerel sky in one of his poems.
