Lonely House
“so I wait for you like a lonely house
till you will see me again and live in me.

Pablo Neruda, 100 Love Sonnets
This old home, on Highway 1 in Olema Valley, is on land now owned by the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. The house is still standing because a rare colony of Thompson’s Big Eared Bats is living in the attic. Pretty romantic, huh?
