This is a large statue of Buddha in Wat Ou Sai Kham in Chiang Mai Thailand. On the wall are murals depicting some events in the former life of the Buddha. But let’s not dwell on that.

I wonder how thick that gold is. Probably about 1/1000", but if you add it all up it's still a fair amount of gold. Awesome color. I wish I could go visit Thailand.

this is nice-- I do try to follow the zen-buddha way-- to live in the moment- to eat my food slowly, the look out at my water view more often- and to slow down when I am reading blog posts :-)
