“True ornament is not a matter of prettifying externals. It is organic
with the structure it adorns, whether a person, a building, or a park.”
Frank Lloyd Wright 1867-1959
Wright may be right but we used this pumpkin to prettify our interior
for last year’s October festivities.
This week’s Corner View theme is “organic form”. See how things are shaping up in the blogs below. Thanks to Theresa for hosting.

A sensual interpretation of the topic of the day... Really nice and funny.
ReplyDeleteCould be brains or hands, something newborn.... but it is a pumpkin, super!
ReplyDeleteLove Wright's quote -- we have a Civic Center in San Rafael designed by him, and the building is true to his words.
ReplyDeleteindeed.
ReplyDeleteBeauty with age..rather scary.
ReplyDeleteThank you for directing to Theresa.
This was a clever way to see a form, through a photographer's eyes. A good one Don. xo
ReplyDeleteimpressive!
ReplyDeleteweird form! a very brainy pumpkin! :D
ReplyDeleteNice shot! I love that it isn't pumpkinny-orange colored (that would be so typical). And the puckered surface...
ReplyDeletecan't go wrong with Wright, great choice for organic, and it's quite a great white pumpkin:)
ReplyDelete(my comment came out organically corny, must be the week!)
ha ha ha... you make me laugh out loud!
ReplyDeleteof course that is what it is too : always there, and to our service.
i can understand you putting thàt pumpkin on a pedestal now...
WOW great!
ReplyDeleteincredible ... it looks like a sculpture
ReplyDeleteSomehow because of the absence of colour you're more aware of the shape, veeeery organic indeed :)
ReplyDeleteso wrong at the market or the kitchen with those tortuous curves, so right on a wall or in a corner view!
ReplyDeletethanks for the nice comment!
Nature certainly is a creative artist! That's quite a pumpkin. I also always love the quotes you include. Where do you find them!
ReplyDeleteOK, prettify is my new favorite word.
