Not Lost

“Happiness is a Swedish sunset; it is there for all, but most of us look the other way and lose it”
Mark Twain 1835-1910

This sunset is not Swedish. It is over the island of Oahu in Hawaii, shot from Molokai.

To see more sunsets, head on over to Scott’s blog- Just Used Pixels. He posts beautiful sunsets every Sunday.

  1. Wow. It does tap into that idea of the heavens doesn't it?

  2. Your sunset is marvelous! Have never heard that quote, but I have seen and enjoyed many Swedish sunsets as I live in Sweden. But I wonder what Mark Twain meant with his metaphor, do you know?

  3. Wow, beautiful photo!

  4. Such beautiful rays bursting out from behind the couds. A real winner. Thanks for joining in this week's Sunset Sunday.

  5. This is an absolutely beautiful sunset shot Don! I love the way the rays are filtered through the clouds and reach for the heavens, a true gem.

Say what?
