Rock Climbing

"The difference between a mountain and a molehill is your perspective."
Al Neuharth

I came across this rock pile and climber on Asilomar Beach near Pacific Grove.

  4. Yep, I had already concluded that must be Pacific Grove before even reading the caption. The whiteness of the sand gave it away. Years ago the Owens-Illinois glass company had a "sand plant" where that Spanish Bay golf course is now. They had conveyor belts that would carry the sand long distances, and of course all us dumb kids were always trying to challenge danger and the authorities by hoping on for a little ride. Thanks for the memories.

    1. Er... Make that "hopping", not "hoping". I've never been much of a speller. I still have the report card to back that up!

  5. Very cool how you captured it to look as if she's balancing on the rock pile. Fun photo.
