Francois Truffaut 1932-1984
This is a sideways view of a Norwegian hillside reflected in a motionless lake. I added yellow and blue because they are complimentary (opposite) colors in the additive color system. If you stare at the middle of this picture for about 30 seconds and then move your cursor over the image you should see an afterimage of the compliments of these colors. The blue will become yellow and the yellow will become blue. The afterimage will fade after a second or two. It's a reflection in your head.
This picture can also be viewed as a Rorschach test. What do you see?

I have crazy astigmatic eyes, which probably is why the reflection test failed.

now i remember how much i HATE complementary colours, i really do. i don't like their blending in either. but the picture on its side is refreshing!
