Samuel Johnson
This is a portrait of Sia, who lives with my son’s family. I like the way,
when the light is right, her black coat shines.
This weeks theme for Corner View is "four-legged". There's more legs in the blogs below. Thanks to Francesca for hosting.

A very cool photo of Sia. I too like how the light glows on her back. Her eyes speak volume too! xo
ReplyDeleteA very good B+W picture.
ReplyDeleteYou have an interesting blog.
Greetings from Switzerland
Angela
I like her eyes as well... The sweet look she has.
ReplyDeleteGreat portrait!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful creature. Lovely puppy-portrait!
ReplyDeleteI love the name Sia, and she's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteyes love the blue sheen that comes off those black dogs. great pic.
ReplyDeleteWhat a look! This photo is nice because it looks like an old portrait of early twentieth ... I don't know exactly why I think that ... I really like!
ReplyDeleteexcuse me? that's a most beautiful portrait.
ReplyDeleteit looks vintage!
come to think of it, the dog looks vintage!
i say, wow...
i agree with woolf. that portrait is amazing! (and the dog looks like a basenji-mix of some sort. is it?)
ReplyDeleteIt's an amazing portrait but she does look kind of sad to me and also a little haunted...like the black dog on my back
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful, lovely dog. An amazing portrait.
ReplyDeleteAlmost like a painting - gorgeous colours!
ReplyDeleteshe´s a beauty. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful portrait, thought it was really ancient!
ReplyDeleteNice B&W!
ReplyDeleteVery special this photo, it's like a paint and the dog's like a "mannequin''
ReplyDeleteWe think Sia is a mutt in the finest sense. We got her from a rescue when she was 4-5 months old. We don't know much more about her other than she is a sweetheart with a heathy bark.
ReplyDeleteWe're very lucky my dad took this wonderful picture of her. Looks like it belongs in a royal hunting lodge or something!
this photograph would make a great oil painting!
